Kuno Amier (1868) was the first Swiss artist to choose color in the composition and pioneered modern art in Switzerland. Belongs to the post-impressionist direction of art. During a fire in 1931, 51 works of artist died in the Munich Glass Palace. On that day, he wrote a note to his wife about how his work left only coals and he was going to leave. His note also consisted of the 51st word.

I dedicated my project to lost paintings and the text of a letter that Kuno Amier wrote to his wife. I break the text into 51 words and have each on a separate map sheet to form a linear exhibition. I’m using my handwriting, which is like a modern style. The letters are written with brushes and ink. I also add drops and bright colors in post-processing. In them, I lay the consequences of a fire, a dark background, like a charred one. And the color stains are what even the fire kept from the lovely flowers of Kuno Amier.
