Kaoyao is a web-based study of the cultural and linguistic characteristics of caomoji. A set of interactive tools to identify, transform and communicate emotions.

The New Language of Emotions

Kamoji is a Japanese emoticon system that is not limited to the use of symbols. The variation of combinations and the inclusion of body language in the emoticon allows caomogi to transmit not only basic states but also emotional nuances: intonation, mimics, gestures.

KaoYao offers a new interactive communication language that reveals the potential of caomogi. Using machine and language analysis tools, animation, generic graphics and KaoYao neurosynthesis, explores the context of symbols, emotions and personal sensitive reflexia.
Mirror
Using a webcam on the page, the user receives caomogies that match his mood. Computer vision reads the mime in real time, defining the spectrum of emotional state (positive, negative, active, passive). Based on the analysis, the site’s algorithm generates complex caomogies. Based on unique descriptions of emotions in different languages, the Mistral language model offers names and descriptions of caomoji.

Wall
A caomoji wall where every user can leave his or her caomogies with emotion and a value that will remain for other users.
Map
A genetic map of emotions. The Kaomoji are moving around in search of a caomogi with a similar emotional spectrum. When they find each other, the emotions come together, forming new complex emotions.
Labyrinth
Go through the emotional mazes. Joy allows the player to walk through the walls, surprises the player accidentally, aggressive fashion makes it difficult to control the character, sadness slows the move, and fear changes the position of the keyboards regarding movement.
The page invites the user to choose his emotional state and to see through the game mechanics the possibility of going out and switching.
Symbols
The user is moving through the fractal forest of the caomoji. As he approaches the tree, he can recognize the roots of his key symbol. Emoticon signs can be drawn from different writing systems, service glyphs, mathematical operators, so as you walk through the woods, you can learn what kind of connotations are filled with caomogies.
A page with stories in the style ASCII-images about the linguistic features of symbols in caomoji. The user needs a word to know what caomogi is behind him and how important he is.
