Hello and welcome to my portfolio!
My name is Veronika. I am a graphic designer.
I am passionate about all things systems and I believe design should be practical, human-centered and -made.

I value variety: I can do irony or gravity, strict or experimental. Either way, my main goal is functionality: I keep in mind the specific problem at all times so that my work offers an applicable solution.
I can help you with:
— brand identity
— packaging design
— type design (text and display fonts)
— presentations
Here is a selection of my most relevant/recent work in these fields.
Section A — Brand identity

«Botanical Orangeries» concert hall and exhibition complex

(2026)An art centre on the grounds of Arkhangelskoye estate, named after historic greenhouses that once stood there.Problem: — Unintuitive and misleading name. — The current design copies the museum the complex is part of, does not stand out from similar institutions or appeal to a wider audience.Request: The existing logo and name must not be changed. How I solved it: — The asymmetrical 2×2×3 grid ratio is based on the building measurements. — The grid mimics the glass wall-windows of the «orangeries». — Bold, vital colors attract wider audience drawn to modern art museum-like visuals.
White Sea– Baltic Canal museum

(2025) A concept for a would-be museum of the White Sea–Baltic Canal in Karelia, Russia.Problem: — Museums dedicated to the history of the canal are scattered across the region and none of them have a visual identity. The visitors are underinformed and scarce.Request: — Must include a brand guideline book. How I solved it: — The arrow-like logo is inspired by the head of a of a pickaxe, a tool that was used by the Gulag inmates building the canal. It is symbolic of both arduous forced labour and human ability to overpower great obstacles. — The varied height of the coloured block is a nod to the complex lock system of the canal.
Section B — Packaging
Aquarium Brewery

(2026) An emerging canned beer manufacturer from Nizhniy Novgorod, Russia.Problem: — Lack of beer brands focused on local identity promotion. — Low noticeability of current packaging. — Lack of sophistication in current design.Request: Flexible, high-contrast monochrome design options. How I solved it: — Graphics: simplified, color-coded landmarks popular with the target audience (upper-middle class 18–35 y.o. locals). — Typography: wordmark distortion imitates the watercourse shape of Volga, the city river. — Infographics: minimal and contrasting the bold main graphics.
Section C — Type
Bryndza

(2025) This display slab-serif is inspired by uneven lines of sliced Bryndza (Brânză), a crumbly Balkan cheese.Problem: — My skillset and portfolio lacked type design => I decided to learn by making a font myself.Request: The ambition was to create an appealing, friendly and dynamic font with an original twist. How I solved it: — Bent serifs, upper and lower horizontal strokes. — Swapped proportions of upper and lower bowls. — Exaggerated terminals in rounded strokes.
