Женский костюм Сувалкии формировался с XIV века. Окончательный вид ансамбля появился только в конце XIX века. В проекте рассматривается поздний вариант повседневного женского костюма Сувалкии.

Женский костюм состоит из длинной юбки в пол, хлопковой рубашки, жилета и фартука. Талию обвязывали тканным поясом, на голову незамутненный девушки надевали венец.

В ходе исследования литовского этноса, культуры и истории, основным объектом изучения был выбран национальный костюм Сувалкии. Проект посвящен созданию реплики повседневного костюма незамужней девушки ХIХ — ХX веков.
